Update on No. 8 rail transit line past Jinji Lake scenic area

Taking the subway has now become a preference of most locals and tourists in travel. Here comes the good news about this line of rail transit which goes through Jinji Lake scenic area! It turns out that the “administration center”(a building gathering all public departments of a city government to provide one-stop services)stop on No.8 rail transit line has made progress recently in its construction. No.8 Line stretches at a full length of 35.5 km, composed of 28 stops from head to end all of which are constructed underground. This line is projected to be completed in 2024.

Along No.8 Line, two stops fall in Jinji Lake scenic area, which are respectively Time Square stop and You’an Street stop. Line 8 will extend across Line 1 , the earliest line in Suzhou, at Time Square stop where you can transfer between the two lines. It is expected that the following spots will receive more visitors after Line 8 is completed and put into operation.

Rail transit develops rapidly as Suzhou develops, which will offer people more ways of travel when they want to visit Jinji Lake scenic area.

Besides Line 1 and 3 which have already been well-established, Line 8, 5 and 6 rail transit under construction will also run through Jinji Lake scenic area in the future as planned.

As the most vibrant place in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jinji Lake scenic area boasts all kinds of commercial, cultural and scientific facilities and buildings such as shopping malls, hotels, galleries, expo center. Varied styled and purposed buildings are scattered around the whole area like numerous pearls shining in a jade plate. Rail transit lines stretching in different directions across Jinji Lake scenic area to link these buildings is just similar to silver threads stringing together pearls to become a net. With more lines joining in this transport network, it is hoped one day people can go anywhere they want in Jinji Lake scenic area by subway.
