Suzhou Symphony Orchestra unveils 2022-23 performance schedule


Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, run by SIP-based New Era Group, released on July 15 its 2022-23 performance schedule which will include 58 performances to be staged between September 2022 and August 2023.

Among the performances will be concerts featuring classic works by over 60 Chinese and foreign composers like Italian composer Gioachino Rossini and Chinese composer Chen Qigang, and works showcasing characteristics of different cultures in the world.

Moreover, there will be a series of performances to celebrate several anniversaries, such as the 45th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up and 130th anniversary of the birthday of Mao Zedong. There will be also the 3rd Chinese Music Festival and opportunities for young artists to showcase their talents in music. A number of famous conductors, soloists and bands will join the performances during the new season.

The orchestra staged the concert themed “Splendid Chinese Culture” on the night of the same day as the finale of the 2nd Chinese Music Festival and its 2021-22 performance season.
