SIP is striving to boost low-altitude economy which covers a wide range of industries focused on both manned and unmanned civil aerial vehicles.
The increasing infrastructure and platforms in the industrial park have laid a good foundation for the development of low-altitude economy.
The Xinshengli industrial park located in the core area of SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone is home to upstream enterprises engaged in aircraft parts manufacturing, system development, testing services and other sub-sectors of the aerospace industry. It is one of SIP’s first seven leading industrial parks for the development of low-altitude economy.
SIP also has the only Class-A general heliport in Suzhou, an unmanned aerial vehicle testing base, and an intelligent testing site.
SIP announced a three-year plan and a series of specific measures recently to promote high-quality development of low-altitude economy, and has enhanced policy support for it.
So far, SIP has gathered over 100 enterprises engaged in the aerospace industry and a number of research institutes and schools which incubate projects and cultivate talents for the industry.
SIP is also making great efforts to expand the application of drones and other types of aircraft. Recently, a drone was used to deliver medical supplies. UAVs are also used in urban management, community governance, industrial development and transport.
