In the early summer breeze, the water lilies in Jinji Lake awaken in the morning light, gently unfurling their petals, rendering the tranquil lake into a vibrant ecological canvas.

Pink water lilies float gracefully atop the emerald water, forming a delightful contrast with the lush leaves and scattered duckweed. Their layered petals glisten with dewdrops, as if adorned with shimmering jewels. Bright yellow water lilies dot among the pink flowers, adding a hint of cuteness to the peaceful water. Occasionally, a waterfowl skims the surface, sending ripples across the lake.

At the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre section of Jinji Lake Fitness Trail, people try to find the best spot to frame the elegant water lilies with the Gate of the Orient, an iconic high-rise standing on the other bank of the lake, recording the perfect integration of classical charm and modern architecture through their lenses.

Behind the beautiful scenery lies the relentless dedication to ecological preservation. Recently, a water purification system was installed along the lakeside footpath, featuring a row of nozzles continuously spraying water to the lake to help enhance its water flow.

According to the operator, this system can promote water circulation and blue-green algae control, thereby fostering a healthier habitat for aquatic life.
