The exhibition themed “The Wild”, comprising over 200 paintings by young artists Wang Hongyun and Li Hongbing, opened at Ming Gallery of Art at SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block on Sept 13, and will last till Oct 8.

Both Wang and Li were born in Southwest China’s Yunnan province and have held multiple solo exhibitions and won a list of awards and honors.

The exhibits, mainly watercolors and oil paintings featuring natural landscapes, animals and plants, range from realistic portrayal of stores to imaginative conceptions of surreal worlds. These pieces are imbued with the artists’ deep affection and aspirations for Yunnan and also reflect their exploration and contemplation of the essence of art.
