Suzhou Center wins Zhan Tianyou Award

The second group of winners of the 20th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award, the highest scientific and technological innovation award in China’s civil engineering sector, was recently unveiled. Suzhou Center in SIP, developed by Hengtai Holding, an SIP-based real estate conglomerate, is on the list.

Suzhou Center broke ground in May 2012, and was completed in 2017. With a total investment of about RMB13 billion, it covers a land area of 16.7 hectares, and consists of seven high-rise buildings, one commercial building and other structures with a total floor space of 1.13 million square meters. It features a combination of integrated and eco-friendly offices, residences, shopping mall, hotels and other facilities to establish a “live-work-play” lifestyle.

Suzhou Center has garnered a list of architecture and design awards including the Luban Prize and the MIPIM award for “Best Shopping Centre”, and received the LEED credential from U.S. Green Building Council.

Suzhou Center is the largest, most representative urban commercial complex in Suzhou. The Suzhou Center Mall, a major component of Suzhou Center, houses about 600 brands. It has recorded a customer footfall of over 300 million  since its opening six years ago.
