The Taohua Island embedded in the center of Jinji Lake in SIP has been upgraded in an all-around way to become a more appealing cultural tourism destination.

Departing from the pier on the right bank of the lake, visitors can reach Taohua Island in approximately 10 minutes by taking the newly launched catamarans.

Stepping onto the island, visitors are greeted by fluttering colorful flags and gorgeous peach blossoms in full bloom. Sweet fragrance of the flowers mingles with soft music, while gentle waves lap against the lakeshore.

The island now features new leisure spaces including a campground, a small zoo and a cozy café, in addition to frequent events such as bazaars, live concerts and open-air movies, which infuse this idyllic retreat with a touch of warmth of everyday life.

Visitors can also try a water bike ride, or a tour on the lake in the solar-powered boat.

The Fuguang Pier on the island has been opened to tourists. Here, visitors can admire both the distant Oriental Arc and SUZHOUEYE Ferris wheel. In the near future, the island will offer traditional Chinese costume rental service and travel photography service.

It is worth mentioning that the 2025 Jinji Lake Peach Flower Cultural Festival kicked off on the island on Mar 28, and will last till May 5.
