A cultural and tourism carnival begins in SIP

The “Enjoy Jiangnan’s Summer, Savor Chic Suzhou” Cultural and Tourism Promo kicked off in SIP on Apr 30, with a number of highlights recommended to the participants.
From the Right Bank Pier to the Moon Harbor, a short yet picturesque water sightseeing route links a number of iconic landmarks and attractions on the right bank of Jinji Lake.
The SUZHOUEYE Ferris wheel offers 360-degree panoramic views of Jinji Lake, SIP, and even the entire city of Suzhou. Its high-tech, modern design delivers an exceptional experience for riders.
The Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art, which is scheduled to open in 2026, is one of the most anticipated projects in this area. Designed by Danish architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), it inherits Suzhou’s traditional architecture in a modern way.
The striking “Flying” sculpture stands tall, attracting countless visitors. With a height of 20 meters, it draws inspiration from Suzhou’s traditional roof tiles, featuring a pair of open wings which symbolize international cooperation and aspirations.
The six-day Jiangnan Carnival Fair opened at the main square of the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre on May 1, with creative tourism products offered by about 100 vendors and amazing performances.
“Dream in Peony Pavilion”, a dance drama, premiered at the Grand Theatre of Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre on the evening of Apr 30, as part of a diverse lineup of shows for the holiday.
