On October 17^th , 2020,the fourth China (Suzhou) International Pastel Biennial Exhibition opened at Ming Gallery of Art, Suzhou Industrial Park.  

The pastel biennial exhibition is held in Suzhou every two years since 2014, and this year it is the fourth time. The exhibition is growing in its influence with each passing year. This time, the exhibition is going both online and on site, with twenty pastel works from eight countries worldwide shown online and eighty pastel works on display in the gallery created by artists living in China. The artists participating in the exhibition use their works to tell stories of our times, and demonstrate colorful lifestyles covering a wide range of themes. The exhibition will continue free of charge until the fifteenth day of November.   

Prize-awarding ceremony was held on spot.

On the day when the opening ceremony was held, Li Xiaolin gave the lecture entitled “On Painting and Pastel, Starting with the Cases of Great Painters of Western Countries”. On that same day, China Pastel Art Federation held its annual meeting.
