As Suzhou has stepped up COVID-19 prevention and control recently after a number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, SIP’s Jinji Lake CBD launched a contingency plan against the epidemic on Feb 10.

The Jinji Lake CBD Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, led by Shen Xiaoming, director of the CBD’s administrative committee, is collaborating with volunteers and two emergency task forces to organize nucleic acid testing and carry out precautions.

The administrative staff and volunteers sent warm pastes and blankets to the enterprise employees in isolation in Suzhou International Expo Centre on Feb 10, and coordinated with related parties to ensure hot water supply for them.

The emergency task forces made explanations to the people in isolation to reassure them.

Some of the emergency response staff worked at factories, dormitory quarters and hotels for nucleic acid testing and other preventive work.

“Some of our staff worked for more than 30 consecutive hours,” said a leader of the emergency task forces.
