Jinji Lake scenic area to see a new round of exhibitions

Published:2022-06-27

Several new exhibitions with different themes will be unfolded at Jinji Lakeshore shortly. Let’s check them out.

Accumulation!Print Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art Masters

To put it simply, this new exhibition hosted by Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Museum features an assembly of ten painters and a collection of their fifty works. Although these works are all woodblock paintings, they skillfully integrate with other artistic forms such as oil paintings, sculptures, installations and films due to respective backgrounds of these painters.

The exhibition uses the colors of hot pink and gray as its palette. The former comes from Taohuawu decorative posters featured in the exhibition hall, a long-established brand dating back hundreds of years ago often using hot red and pink to express happiness during the lunar new year. The cold color of gray is used to represent modernity, science and technology, reminding people of the boundless space and time. These two colors are combined in the exhibition to make it more meaningful and symbolic.
