The First Sino-Italian Cultural Exchange Festival - Festa dell’amicizia took place in SIP’s Jinji Lake Scenic Area from Aug 13 to 14, offering the participants a good opportunity to experience unique Chinese and Italian cultural elements.

The event consisted of 12 activities where the participants could visit the exhibitions of vehicles and artworks, taste and make delicious food, watch films in the open air, try to create a graffiti work, experience freestyle football, and view performances.

As a highlight of the event, the brocaded versions of two classic paintings by Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) amazed the viewers. They were made by the renowned Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritor Qian Xiaoping using the Song brocade weaving techniques developed during the Song Dynasty (960-1279).
