SIP has seen flourishing cultural events since the beginning of this summer. These events have made the residents’ lives colorful.

SIP Public Cultural Center (SIPPCC) and Suzhou Eslite Bookstore jointly launched a two-week campaign themed “Books Recommended by You” in mid-July to invite citizens to help choose books from about 10,000 publications. The selected books will be bought by SIP Library and kept in it so that more people can read them.

Concurrently, the “Scholarly SIP” app has been upgraded to include a new module for readers to share their book reviews, and the mobile libraries have brought books into many communities and organizations.

The Green Plum Space Culture & Art Season is underway at Jinji Lake Art Museum, with 50 events offering the participants chances to attend the masters’ classes on fine arts, music, dancing and theatre and experience traditional handicrafts.

Moreover, the libraries, art galleries and cultural centers under SIPPCC have put a variety of reading activities, competitions, public lectures, performances and exhibitions on line, and a long list of other cultural and art events including 33 public performances scheduled in scenic spots and public squares can be expected.
