The 2022 (11th) Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (JLIEC) wrapped up in SIP on Nov 24. A total of 20 projects competed in the final, and the company named Hours garnered the first prize.
Each year, a competition of the kind is held in SIP and several other places home and abroad to help discover promising startups and teams. This year’s event was focused on projects from digital and intelligent manufacturing, semiconductor and nanomaterials, AI, biomedicine, medical devices and other industries.
Innovatively, this edition included a contest for young startup founders and one for women startup founders with the hope of creating a more balanced talent development ecosystem and further boosting momentum for innovation and business launch.
For the same purpose, the “Global Partners Plan”, which linked 59 entrepreneurs and investors in 25 cities worldwide in its initial practice last year to provide directions and support for the contestants, was upgraded this year, and a series of online campaigns including lectures, roadshows and survey tours were carried out to facilitate interactions between startups, investors, business incubators and accelerators and the likes.
A jury panel led by Yan Li, founding partner and CEO of Eastern bell Capital, and Cao Yi, founding partner of Source Code Capital, served in the final.
“We provide outstanding startups with all-around support including money awards and assistance in financing,” said the sponsor.
