AVINEX’s terminal in SIP formally comes into operation

The Suzhou City Terminal of Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX) formally came into operation in SIP on May 19 to provide convenience for local passengers.

The terminal, located near the Sky Screen at SIP’s Harmony Times Square, was built by SIP-based Sungent Group, and is run by New Era Group. It comprises the air service zone, VIP service zone and business zone, with an area of about 1,400 square meters.

The terminal provides services for ticket booking, check-in, luggage delivery and so on. Passengers in SIP can go to AVINEX’s airports in Shanghai by shuttle bus, chartered bus or high-speed train, or drive there, and board the planes quickly.

Concurrently, Shanghai Customs, AVINEX and Suzhou City Terminal jointly launched a digital service mechanism to save passengers time during check-in.

Additionally, eight Chinese airlines launched their operations at the terminal to provide domestic flights that they provide at Pudong and Hongqiao airports in Shanghai as well as part of their international flights.

China Eastern Airlines and Juneyao Airlines presented special offerings for passengers at the terminal to enjoy extra baggage allowances.

The terminal’s first digital collections were unveiled at the same time.
