Jinji Lake Elite Running Competition wraps up

Two groups comprising 4,000 people, got off the mark as the 2023 Jinji Lake Elite Running Competition kicked off on the bank of Jinji Lake at 8:00 am on May 28.

One group, consisting of 2,000 people, competed in the “Elite Running” section, while the others, including parents and children, participated in the “Happy Running” event.

The champions of the “Elite Running” event emerged after fierce competition. Yu Chao won the men’s title with a time of 00:42:58; and Qian Huan won the women’s title with a time of 00:52:21.

The participants also enjoyed the beautiful landscape while running around Jinji Lake Scenic Area, a national 5A scenic spot.They passed by the lake, the ancient Ligong Causeway and the modern Jinjihu Road before returning to the Jinji Lake Urban Square. Many said they felt like they were running in a picture scroll.
