The ramps at SIP’s Xinghu and Changle streets for connection with the Jinji Lake Tunnel came into service on June 30, marking that all the entrances and exits of the Jinji Lake Tunnel have opened.

The whole tunnel, a west-east two-way six-lane tunnel extending from Xinghai Street to Nanshi Street, is about 6.04 kilometers. Its main part, about 5.4 kilometers, opened to traffic last December, and has helped significantly ease the traffic pressure on the surrounding roads.
