Chinese artist Shi Wanwan’s works on display in SIP

The solo exhibition of Shi Wanwan, a Chinese conceptual artist who works through the creation of specific contexts, opened at Jinji Lake Art Museum in SIP on Dec 30, 2023, and will last till Feb 18, 2024.
Shi Wanwan has held solo exhibitions at a number of galleries and art institutions at home and abroad, including Tang Contemporary Art (Beijing), A4 Contemporary Arts Center (Chengdu), Art Museum of Nanjing Museum of the Arts, Open Contemporary Art Center (Taipei), oMo Art Space (Berlin), and AMAC Projects (Paris), among others. He won the Best Creativity Award during the Suzhou Design Week in 2019.
On display are over 30 works in four units. Unit 1 and 2 showcase the artist’s explorations of art in Beijing, Hangzhou and Suzhou. Unit 3 highlights fusion of diverse art forms from a global perspective, and Unit 4 is about a plan that the artist has been carrying out for about ten years to draw scenes in films.
