Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race again makes the list of “Quality Sports Tourism Projects of China”

The Sports Culture Development Center of General Administration of Sport of China recently unveiled the 2023 list of “Quality Sports Tourism Projects of China”. The Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race, an annual event in SIP, is on the list.

On the list are 64 scenic spots, 29 tourist routes, 65 competitions and 19 destinations chosen as the best out of 810 entries from 31 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) across the country. The Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race is one of the four projects from Suzhou.



It is worth mentioning that the Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race made the 2022 list of “Quality Sports Tourism Projects of China” as one of the “Top 10 Quality Sports Tourism Projects of China” last year.

From 2010 to 2021, 12 sessions of Jinji Lake Dragon Boat attracted 654 teams consisting of 12,553 people, including 1,815 expatriates from over 20 countries and regions. The 2023 edition of the race was attended by 66 teams comprising 1,398 people, including nine teams of expats.
