The Jinji Lake Scenic Area and Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort in SIP recorded 1.9 million tourist arrivals during the Spring Festival holiday, increasing by 46% year-on-year. Nine hotels around Jinji and Yangcheng lakes reported operating incomes totaling RMB22.92 million.
The shopping malls in SIP offered attractive discounts, and organized various events such as dragon and lion dances and other folk celebrations to enhance the festival atmosphere.
The audio-visual shows at Jinji Lake Music Fountain and the lantern shows, parades, art exhibitions and bazaars across SIP, which were full of traditional Chinese cultural characteristics, also contributed to the sharp increase of consumption.
SIP Public Cultural Center organized a series of events for the participants to learn more about traditional Spring Festival celebrations and rituals. The participants had the chances to print New Year pictures with traditional techniques, play the pitch-pot game, and take part in a lucky draw.
The “Travel in SIP” platform offered 3,000 discount coupons for spending in scenic spots, restaurants, fairs and hotels in SIP. A special ticket package was offered to passengers of the Jinji Lake Cruise, which achieved an income of more than RMB 1 million during the holiday.
The hotels also promoted special offers for the guests who spent their holiday in SIP.
