SIP was declared on Feb 18 as one of four first place winners in Suzhou’s 2023 comprehensive evaluation of the development of its county-level cities and districts. It is the sixth straight year that SIP has retained the honor.

SIP, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of its inception this year, aims to achieve higher-level development. It will optimize the service and support systems for scientific and technological innovation, and enhance efforts to bolster leading and emerging industries.

SIP authorities have unveiled plans to increase highly profitable investments, including holding no less than 100 investment promotion events throughout the year, and expand high-level opening-up and international cooperation.

Moreover, great efforts will be made to improve local people’s well-being. New schools will be set up, and hospital services will be improved.
