Water sports races held on lakes in SIP

The 2024 Jinji Lake - Dushu Lake Water Sports Races kicked off on Jinji Lake and Dushu Lake in SIP on May 18. It was one of the events designed to usher in the National Tourism Day which falls annually on May 19, and also the first event of its kind to take place on the Jinji and Dushu lakes at the same time.

Jointly sponsored by the SIP Jinji Lake Scenic Area Administration and New Era Group, an SIP-based cultural, sports and exhibition business operator, the event consisted of the 15-kilometer canoe race, the 8-kilometer one-person stand up paddle boarding race, and the 1-kilometer multi-person stand up paddle boarding race.



The event attracted the teams from 13 cities in East China’s Jiangsu province, the teams of expatriates from Italy, Singapore and other countries and regions and the teams from higher education institutions.



Concurrently, flyboarding and motorboat performances were staged, and an exhibition of water sports equipment was held on the square of Moon Harbor.
