Suzhou citizens experience Singaporean culture

The Experience Singapore Week in Suzhou - Singapore Shiok Lah, an event jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) of Singapore and the People’s Government of Suzhou of East China’s Jiangsu province, kicked off at Suzhou Center Mall, SIP on July 11, and will last till July 15.



The visitors have chances to taste authentic Singaporean food offered by nine booths, such as Nyonya Kuih and Laksa, and gain a comprehensive knowledge of Singapore’s food culture through the exhibition on site, especially the Hawker Culture which was inscribed as Singapore’s first element on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020.



The event has gathered many brands from Singapore, including YEO’S and SUNS. These brands provide various products like food products, souvenirs, daily necessities and fashionable accessories at favorable prices.



There is also an interactive zone where the visitors can color the pictures of Singapore’s landmark projects, get henna tattoos, and try a “time travel” through the AI equipment.



Additionally, the visitors can collect the “Shiok” stamps by fulfilling the designated tasks and exchange them for gifts, and participate in the lucky draw.
