The 688 Arts & Fashion Space in SIP opened on Apr 30 when diverse performances were put on.

The 688 Arts & Fashion Space used to be a commercial plaza. Located in the center of SIP’s CBD, it boasts beautiful scenery along the Jinji Lake ecological corridor and the Central (Zhongyang) River, adjacent to Suzhou International Expo Centre and Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, and seamless connection with subway.

After upgrading, the project is designed to foster a “15-minute living circle” for social, sports and recreational activities.

There is the Younan Art Gallery, the trendy block IXIXNINE, the Black King billiards club, and a variety of stores, cafes and bars with unique characteristics.

A number of young people, including many artists, have gathered here, aiming to set trends in culture and art.

In early April, the exhibition of a series of fruit-shaped artistic installations jointly created by Chinese artist Li Shudan and local citizens kicked off, and will last till May 15.

A list of other events including a tennis match, a pet-themed bazaar and a pets’ sports meet will follow.
